My colleague broadened my mind with this :
Some companies inform their staff (the poor performers) to buck up within three months.
The underlying message is for this staff to :
1) buck up within three months;
2) find another Dept on his own within three months. Note that other Dept would know that he is a poor performer;
3) resign and "tender the garden" (at home).
Such is the true harsh reality in the outside world now.
I am not doing well at work - too generalist and not specialised and sometimes just a mailbox with little or no value-add. I am not really aggressive and sometimes aggressive in the wrong way. Not charismatic, not a leader, not a visionary, none of the above. Just a normal working class heading towards the big 4-zero mark straight on like a train rushing to its destination. Is this the journey for the common class? While people of other countries are battling war and hunger, we are battling our own war here. No difference mentally. The sins of mankind.
